Of the Earth’s 10 million species of plants and animals, almost one-third call the Amazon rainforest home. A single tree in Peru was found to have 43 different species of ants, a total that approximates the number of ant species found in the entire United Kingdom. Needless to say, the Amazon is teeming with life with a new species discovered every three days.

This breathtaking video by Artist for the Amazon Dano Grayson showcases some of the beauty and biodiversity of wildlife in the Peruvian Amazon. Watch as Dano climbs and treks through the Amazonian cloud forests to catch the perfect shot of some of the most unique animals to the region including a glass frog and Peru’s national bird the Andean cock-of-the-rock.
