Celia has dedicated her professional career to community organizing, corporate social responsibility and student affairs. From 2015-2017, Celia was the associate director of the Tom Tom Founders Festival, in Charlottesville, VA. She was responsible for identifying a diverse range of disciplines and engaging the city in high-impact events with the mission of leaving lasting legacies and new collaboration. Ultimately, branding the region as a hub for innovation. In addition, she assisted with all communications and marketing campaigns.
Between 2010-2015, Celia was a student affairs professional both at Harvard and the University of Virginia. She was responsible for creating a residential environment that supported the social and academic development of young people. In addition to advising students and residential staff, she oversaw diversity, self-care, and active bystander trainings.
Celia received her MBA from Simmons College in Boston, where she focused on corporate social responsibility and organizational behavior. In business school, she was an active member of Net Impact and did an independent study on Eileen Fisher, a clothing company dedicated to human rights and sustainability. Celia received her BA in English from Union College in Schenectady, NY.
Having lived in New England her entire life, Celia enjoys the milder weather and friendlier drivers in Virginia. She lives in Charlottesville with her husband, Ben, and their two children Lila (9) and Simon (7),
